7 Calorie Burning Tips

These are just a few habits you can embrace to start revving your metabolism right away. You may have heard stories about people who have lost dozens of pounds simply switching to diet soda or walking a few minutes each day. These are all small habits that contribute to a big difference and increase your metabolism over time.  You will make weight loss quicker and easier by increasing your metabolic rate and burning more calories.

1) Drink Cold Water

Evidence shows that your body might expend more calories trying to raise cold water to the temperature of your body then hot beverages. And overall being well hydrated will help your body’s metabolic processes burn quicker.

2) Eat Little and Often

Evidence suggests that eating small meals every 2-4 hours will keep your metabolism burning faster than larger, less frequent meals. When you eat small amounts often your body is constantly working to digest and absorb food which requires energy.

3) Move More

Sedentary people burn about one-third less calories per day.  By simply taking every opportunity to move can make quite a dramatic difference to the amount of calories you burn in one day. Small movements will add up over time to lots of calories.  The trick is to keep moving throughout your day. Write the word ‘move’ on post-it notes and put them in places you’ll notice them when you’re sitting still. Then, take every opportunity to move – here’s some ideas for burning extra calories:

Tap your feet
Swing your legs
Stand up and stretch
Move your head from side to side
Change position
Wriggle and fidget
Pace up and down
Use the restroom upstairs
Park in the furthest corner of the parking lot
Stand up when you’re on the phone and step from side to side
Clench and release your muscles

4) Exercise With Weights

Training with weights boosts your metabolism in a number of ways. By lifting weights you will build muscle tissue. And muscle tissue is metabolically active, so it requires calories even when at rest and so it helps to increase fat-burning enzymes in your body.

5) Spice up

Eating hot spices might speed up your metabolism.  Just half a teaspoon of cinnamon per day can help boost metabolism and keep blood sugar levels in check. Can’t stand the thought of cinnamon in your morning cup of coffee? Spice up with cayenne, crushed red pepper or wasabi.

6) Eat More Protein

Protein requires a more complex chemical breakdown by your body in order to be digested and used as fuel. For example, 100 calories of protein may take up to 30 calories to process.   Protein also takes longer to digest and helps to stabilize blood sugar for longer periods of time  and this can help you to not overeat later in the day.  Eat a portion of protein at every meal and as part of your snacks and you will increase the total number of calories you burn each day.

7) Eat Fat

If you want feel good and keep the fat off you need to first put it in.  Fat not only tastes good our bodies need it to work efficiently.  By consuming several servings of ‘healthy’ fats every day you will actually increase your calorie burning potential.  Try incorporating fats like Flaxseed oil, hempseed oil, olive oil, avocados, salmon, albacore tuna, nuts and seeds into your diet daily.

sometime we are good and sometime we are bad ..

sometime we eat our favorite meal but sometimes we cant even imagine it ..

7 Surprising Health Benefits Of Yoga (5 Are Backed by Studies!)

Did you know that yoga was practiced by our ancestors over 5,000 years ago?

Well, according to ancient texts it was, and while many modern-day thinkers see yoga as another form of exercise, our ancestors have long referenced yoga as a powerful tool for nurturing the mind, body and soul.

Admittedly, the idea of bending, stretching, twisting and manipulating your body to improve well-being may seem counter-intuitive, but modern science confirms that the health benefits of yoga are far-reaching.
Still not convinced that yoga is good for you?
Let's dig a little deeper into the health benefits of yoga:
#1 Yoga Improves Strength and Flexibility
Yoga helps you build a stronger, more flexible body with its unique approach to manipulating the body's various muscle groups. Power yoga is one form of yoga that can really strengthen and increase the bodies flexibility as it combines sun salutations (poses) with cardio and strength training exercises.
One study carried out by the WebMD group concluded that individuals can improve their flexibility by up to 35% after practicing yoga a few minutes a day for 8 just weeks.
#2 Yoga Improves Posture
Yoga strengthens core muscles which help support proper posture. Whilst this may not seem a major issue, having poor posture can lead to unrelated health conditions such as cramps, headaches and even gastrointestinal discomfort! Yoga can help prevent this and you will walk tall and proud.
A study was undertaken by researchers at the School of Pediatric Medicine in Philadelphia. This study involved 24 middle-aged females who enrolled in a 9 week program of Iygengar yoga. The study concluded that the subjects improved their posture, flexibility and balance through Iygengar yoga.
#3 Yoga Alleviates Stress
Yoga consists of mindfulness exercises through meditation and breathing exercises. This means you are more present and less concerned over past or future events which fuel stress and worry.
Psychiatrist John Denninger of Harvard Medical School headed a five year study which concluded that yoga stimulates key genes linked to stress. The study used neuro- imaging and genomics technology to measure the psychological impact of mind-body techniques with detailed accuracy. It's reported that the findings may see approvals for doctors to use alternate means for tackling stress related conditions.
#4 Yoga Improves Sleep
Yoga expels physical energy and balances the mind which means you sleep better at night. There have been numerous studies on the benefits of yoga for sleep but none more profound than a recent study undertaken by researchers at the Harvard Medical School.
This study involved subjects with varying degrees of insomnia. The subjects practiced basic yoga everyday for 8 weeks, subjects also kept sleep diaries prior to and during the 8 week study. The study concluded that yoga improved the subjects sleep efficiency, duration of sleep, and reduced the amount of time it took to fall asleep.
#5 Yoga Aides Weight Loss
Yoga isn't the best tool for burning fat but it can certainly help you lose a little weight. Yoga burns calories (key to weight loss), relieves pain (lengthier workouts), and reduces stress (addressing emotional eating).
A 2005 study was carried out by Alan Kristal, DPH, MPH to determine the benefits of yoga for weight loss. This study involved 15,500 subjects and way too many variables to mention in this article. Their findings? "Those practicing yoga who were overweight to start with lost roughly 5 pounds during the same time period those not practicing yoga gained 14 pounds," says Kristal.
#6 Yoga Tones Your Muscles
Yoga really does work various muscle groups and can help you build lean muscle and tone various muscle groups. The great thing is that this can be achieved without over-enduring workout regimens and you won't end up bulking out and gaining excessive muscle mass.
#7 Yoga Improves Mindfulness
Yoga very much focuses your attention on the present moment, the here and now, as you go about your mindful breathing, stretches, and postures. As you become more skilled in mindful breathing and relaxation, you can then carry this skill-set with you into everyday life for improved well-being 24/7.

5 Common Foods To Avoid For Effective Weight Loss

Have you been trying to lose weight to no avail? If you feel that you are not getting the desired results in spite of exercising or dieting then you are definitely doing something wrong. Very often, the biggest culprit is what you eat and not how much you eat. There are certain foods that you should avoid eating as much as possible because they have a terrible effect on your body. Avoiding the following foods will help you lose weight quickly and easily:

• Baked goods: They have a lot of fats, sugars and refined flours. Baked goods are extremely fattening even if they do not have any frosting or topping. This means that you should say no to cakes, pastries, croissants, muffins and the like. Many people think that baked foods are less fattening than fried foods, and this may indeed be the case, but both types should be avoided as far as possible.
• Sodas: Regular sodas contain large amounts of sugar. What's even worse is that these calories come with no nutrition, fiber or protein at all; they are classic empty calories.
• Sugary breakfast cereal: They might be made of corn, oats or rice but they are loaded with sugar to make them very tasty. These foods give you a sugar high so that you have plenty of energy but sugar levels in the blood drop equally fast, leaving you craving for another meal.
• Full cream milk: Whole milk contains high levels of saturated fat that can result in high levels of bad cholesterol. Low fat milk is a better alternative because it contains all the protein, vitamins and calcium necessary for good health but only a fraction of the fat.
• Processed meats: Bacon and sausages are undeniably very tasty but they are extremely rich in fat and salt. It is best to go for low fat options if you really cant do without these foods.
You should eliminate these foods from your diet at the very earliest in order to start losing weight. You should also add lots of fresh fruits and vegetables to your diet because they will help you lose weight easily. It is also necessary to drink lots of water every day. If you are able to change your diet and lifestyle then it is unlikely that you will put weight on back again. Not only will you look slim and good but you will also feel healthy as a result.
Fitness and beauty are quite inter related. Following a healthy routine and lifestyle can greatly help in effective weight loss!

Foods to Avoid
  1. Frozen Dinners - "Healthy" frozen dinners make a dangerous selection when you are trying to shed off the unwanted weight. They might be low in sugar or fat, but they are packed with junk. Instead, prepare leftover servings from dinners and reheat them for breakfast or lunch the following day.

  2. Multi-grain Bread - While this may sound healthy, you might be missing the essential minerals and vitamins that your body needs. The grains may be over processed, losing its fiber and nutrients. Opt for a whole grain brain instead.

  3. Whole Wheat Pasta - Replacing your usual white pasta with brown pasta is a good initiative towards a healthy diet. However, this can also be an impediment to losing weight. Whole wheat pasta is packed with carbs that break down into sugar inside the body. This may also mean having as much calories as your usual white pasta. For a low-carb option, substitute your pasta with spaghetti squash.

  4. Sugar-free products - While these products may be lesser in calories, they actually contain unhealthy sugar substitutes so make sure that you do your research and gather information about what you are actually taking.

Why Do Some People Have A Hard Time Losing Weight?

Popular diets tend to fade away quickly due to the ordinary fundamentals of weight loss, such as reducing caloric intake and exercising religiously. But when these rituals cease, we end up gaining the weight back, or worse, gaining more weight then we have lost. Why is this a problem in the world of dieting? What can we do to help increase weight loss and keep it off?
What is Leptin?
Studies have shown the reason why some people have difficulty losing weight and keeping it off is leptin resistance. What is leptin? Leptin is a key hormone in the body that regulates caloric intake and distributes it for proper absorption. Leptin and insulin, another important hormone, work in contingent with one another. If there are any resistance associated with one or both of these hormones, there can be a high risk of obesity and/or serious diseases.
To put it in layman's terms, leptin resistance allows your body to become less responsive to the hormone. This is caused by eating foods that are high in sugar, processed foods, and grains. When sugar is processed in our body, high levels of leptin are released in the body. Over a period of time, especially as we age, the levels of leptin are reduced and the brain cannot process information properly to the areas of the body where fat is stored. When this happens, the metabolism in the body is significantly reduced and the energy intake turns to more fat instead of burning fat. This is why some people have a difficult time losing weight and keeping it off.
Does Leptin Resistance Also Accelerate Tumor Growth in Cancer?
As mentioned, obesity is the major factor of serious diseases. Cancer is the most common disease associated with leptin and insulin resistance. Studies show that obese cancer patients are more likely to experience more tumor growth compared to non-obese patients. White fat cells, which stores energy, travel through the bloodstream carrying oxygen and nutrients. When the white fat cells reach the location of the tumor, the oxygen and nutrients feeds it which increases its growth. Using this finding, cancer researchers are developing new ways to block these cells to stop further growth of tumors while enhancing existing methods of cancer treatments.
White fat cells are a negative factor in obesity and cancer, while brown fat cells are a positive factor, which burns energy instead of storing it. It has been proven that people who are likely to have more brown fat cells are slender people, younger people, and people with normal blood sugar levels. Researchers are developing medicines to convert white fat cells to brown fat cells to aid in weight loss and improving cancer treatments, but it can be done naturally. Exercising regularly and eating foods to increase levels of leptin will help to increase the conversion of white fat cells to brown cells, and help to improve weight loss.
In conclusion, leptin is the key component to losing weight. Low levels of leptin have been proven to increase the risks of serious diseases such as cancer. To increase your leptin levels, find foods that are enriched with healthy nutrients such as protein, zinc, and omega-3. Avoid carbohydrates at all cost. Exercising regularly will help to properly absorb these nutrients from your new diet.

3 Things That Are Stopping You From Losing Belly Fat

Losing belly fat always seems to be the most challenging fat to get rid of from your body. Despite the fact that you eat the right foods and you exercising regularly, do you find that you just can't seem to burn away that stomach fat? To lose belly fat you need to fuel your body with the right foods, not overindulge, and allow your physical movement to burn up the fuel it's been fed. Sounds straightforward, so where are you going wrong? Here are 3 bizarre reasons why you're not losing belly fat.

1. You Are Not Eating Enough.

It sounds like backwards logic, but one of the things that many people do with the objective of losing belly fat is eat too few calories. Not only is this pure torture it will also lead you to break your diet plan and eventually binge on unhealthy foods, which undoes all of the work you have done and make it even harder to get back on track.
Women should not restrict their daily consumption to less than 1,200 calories and men not less than 1,800 calories. Even these amounts are considered low. There are many calorie calculators on the internet that will help you work out what the right calorie range is for your body to lose or maintain weight.

2. Becoming Lazy In The Gym.

To start with, it's great if you are doing some exercises to burn belly fat. Keeping to a work out plan can be tough, and if you are doing the same type of exercise routine over and over again, it can be challenging to find the motivation to keep with it. You may just end up going through the motions at the gym without putting in any real effort. One way to help deal with this is to switch your workouts around on a regular basis. Try an energizing hot yoga class one week and a new circuit at the gym the next. Take an aerobic exercise class the next and then do some resistance training. Making frequent changes will keep you from getting bored and will improve your results because your body will be continuously challenged.

3. Eating Boring Meals.

There are plenty of foods that you can eat whist losing belly fat. But nobody wants to eat tasteless chicken breasts for dinner every night. Instead, find ways that you can spice up that plain food and give your taste buds a treat without adding a bunch of calories. Herbs and spices are a great way to do this. Healthy marinade is another. Cooking methods matter too, open fire grilling adds great flavor without calories and is one of the healthiest ways to cook fish, chicken, and beef.

Weight Loss: Take the Magic Pill

THE PROBLEM

Weight loss fat loss, getting thin, getting slim, getting skinny, whatever you want to call it, it has been elusive to and wanted by many. There is nothing new under the sun. Weight loss has always been the second law of thermodynamics which is in minus out equals accumulation. Here's the problem. How do you do it healthily? What do you eat? What part does exercise play in this? What about supplements?

DIET VS EXERCISE

It stands to reason if weight loss is calorie reduction then diet and exercise would both be a part of a healthy weight loss program. But if you could only choose one of hem, which one should it be? The answer is diet? Why? The answer is simple; you can't out exercise your diet! I'll give you an example. Let's say you had 2 pieces of pizza for dinner and a piece of cheesecake for desert. According to most internet sources there is 298 calories in a piece of pepperoni pizza and around 260 calories in a piece of cheesecake. Get a 10-pound backpack (water, your lunch, spare clothes), locate the steepest mountain in your vicinity, and walk up it. You'll burn about 860-900 calories an hour if you can keep the pace up to where you're slightly short of breath. If you don't have a mountain nearby, the stairwell of a hi-rise will do except it's boring and doesn't have a view like the mountain walk does. Would you now agree that you can't out exercise your diet. So if you could do only one, diet would be the choice.

WHAT ABOUT SUPPLEMENTS?

They must be just that "supplemental" and not primary. Good eating habits must be what starts you heading to a healthy weight. The most popular, practical and reasonable way to do this is to incorporate a meal plan based on "The Harvard Healthy Plate Diagram". This is a diagram in which your meal plate is divided into sections in 1/2 of your plate is vegetable matter, ¼ is carbohydrates, and ¼ is lean protein. Eating in this manner gives you the proper proportion of nutrients, and is a practical way to forgo the tedious calorie count for every meal. The role of supplements is to enhance or magnify the effect of the healthy meal plan. I liken to going out on a 90-degree day. You will be warm because the sun is hot. If you put a magnifying glass over your arm, the hairs on your arm will start to singe. Is the sun any warmer? No, it isn't. The magnifying glass just enhances the hot sun. Likewise the energy boosting pill and/meal replacement shake magnifies the weight loss caused by healthy eating.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN GOAL YOUR WEIGHT IS REACHED?

Once your goal weight is reach you MUST stick to your healthy meal plan. It becomes a matter of carbohydrate adjustment. If you see your weight to rise, you cut back on carbs. If it is harder to control you can add the supplements back in and you can keep some of the supplements in your house in case this happen but your primary tool for maintenance is the same thing that got you there; healthy eating.

How to Lose Weight in 2 Weeks?

Inspirational weight loss stories can truly transform your life. Life is beautiful. You can make this journey more beautiful if you can allow yourself to eat whatever you want. Believe me, life is not about counting calories. It is about eating in a healthy way. Our body becomes sick when we do not follow the natural system. The problem is with our lifestyle. We do not sleep on time. Eating junk food is a common habit. It is very hard to eliminate all of these elements from your life. Most people cannot avoid "Wine" and "beer". People think it will be silly to stop drinking.
If you cannot avoid junk food, and artificial drinks; how can you lose weight? People read weight loss tips but, they never practice them in their lives. It is not difficult to lose 4-6 pounds in 2 weeks. It can be pretty easy if you can follow the right advice. To help you lose weight, I will suggest you to take weight loss supplements. These supplements will suppress your appetite. Supplements motivate you to do the exercise.
Fast Weight Loss Diet Plan
On your first day, you should only eat fruits. Buy lots of colorful fruits. Prepare fruit juices and enjoy your first day. When I started this diet plan; I was drinking five glasses of fresh juice each day. I made fresh juices from Apples, Oranges, Grapes, Pomegranates, and Strawberries. It was a fantastic experience. Fruits contain too many healthy nutrients that can help you look young. They provide essential vitamins for hair growth and skin care.
My next day meal was a combination of fruits and vegetables. It is better to prepare vegetable salads. Boil colorful vegetables and add healthy sauces. You can also add some chicken pieces in the salad. It will taste better. Do not fry the vegetables. Just remember that you are on a diet plan.
The third day is about drinking ten glasses of water, and you will eat lots of fruits and vegetables.
I will also recommend you to take a walk every day for 45 minutes. The 4th day is about eating calcium. You will be drinking milk and milkshakes. Cook vegetables, eat fruits, drink milk and do some exercise.
The 5th day is a little different. You can eat some brown bread with rice. A cup of rice along with the vegetable diet plan will be good.
The 6th day is all about repeating the procedure. Repeat this procedure for the next week and check your weight. Do not forget to do the exercise.
Thanks.

Eating Chocolate Can Help You Lose Weight

If you love eating chocolate, it may help you lose weight as well as satisfy your sweet cravings according to a new study in the International Archives of Medicine. Diet and exercise is essential for any weight loss plan so German researchers analyzed the effect chocolate has on your diets (Bohannon et al. 2015).
Chocolate has always been one of my favorites when it comes to sweets but it's good to know that it may also have effects on fat loss. During the study that lasted several weeks, men and women between the ages of 19-67 were divided into three groups. One group followed a low-carbohydrate diet while consuming 42 grams of dark (81%) chocolate each day, another group followed their normal diet, and a control group followed a strict low-carb diet. Besides noting their BMI and weight, participants were also asked to assess their quality of sleep and mental state.
Shockingly, people in the chocolate intervention group experienced the easier and most successful weight loss. Even though there was a delay in the measureable effect of this diet, the weight reduction of this group surpassed the results of the low-carb group by 10% after only three weeks. Furthermore, the fat loss continued, compared to the low-carb group which saw a weight gain after a few weeks. This is a problem with many weight loss programs as individuals usually gain the weight right back within weeks of losing it. The fact that the weight loss continues after eating dark chocolate is an effect like no other.
The chocolate group also discovered a major improvement in their physical and mental well-being while blood cholesterol levels reduced. This is to say that the people who ate more dark chocolate even slept better and benefited from a decrease in serious health issues. It's just something about chocolate that puts me in a good mood while satisfying my sweet tooth that I love the most.
For those of you who love chocolate, consumption with high cocoa content can drastically improve the success of weight-loss diets. "To our surprise, the effect of chocolate is real," says Bohannon. "It is not enough to just consume chocolate, but in combination with exercise and reduction in carbohydrates, our data indicate that chocolate can be a weight loss accelerator." I believe if you eat dark chocolate in moderation while getting some physical activity on a daily basis, you should be fine for a start. Eat more chocolate, lose weight easier!

7 Easy Ways To Lose Weight

70% of the country are on a diet at any one time. Why? Because most people want to lose weight. The majority do it for vanity but some do it for health reasons. Whatever the reasons people want to lose weight, there are easier ways to do it than a traditional diet. Below are seven alternative, easy ways to lose weight.
1. The Atkins way. Discovered by Robert Atkins in 1992, the Atkins diet is counter intuitive to dieting. You eat fattening food! It was controversial at the time. No veg, no fruit, just plenty of fat and protein. The Atkins diet is a great alternative for someone who doesn't like the healthy option.
2. Pulse training. Pulse training has other names but they all mean the same thing. You basically work like a madman for as little as fifteen minutes a day. The rest of the time you can do what you like. An exercise bike or a treadmill is handy, unless you don't mind your neighbors seeing. You need to really go for it in those 15 minutes. You need to really slog it out for 15 minutes, then relax for the other 23 hours, 45 minutes a day. Your body does the rest.
3. Load your calories in the morning. Your body doesn't burn calories at the same time every day. By loading your calories in the morning your body will burn them off in the afternoon and start burning your fat in the evening. Its weight loss without any effort. No need to exercise, just go about your life as usual, just don't eat after lunch. Shovel in donuts, burgers, whatever you like in the morning.
4. Stop your cravings with a fist clench. Research has shown that you can stave off your cravings by clenching your fists when you feel the urge. Fancy a burger? Or a pizza? Just clench those fists, as hard as you can... And you may need to keep clenching if you are prone to the occasional KFC.
5. Fasting. It's not the easiest way to lose weight but you can fast for short periods of time each week. The theory is that your calories averaged over a week will add up to a certain amount that you need to sustain your weight. If you aren't currently gaining weight then you could lose weight by fasting for one of the days of the week. On that day, cut your calories by half and you will lose weight over time.
6. Make your plates smaller. Psychologically your brain will see a full plate and believe it is eating a full meal. It doesn't really matter how big your plate is either. You can trick your brain into thinking you are getting a full meal, even if your meal is smaller. Just use a smaller plate than usual... In fact get rid of your usual plates and get much smaller ones. It's amazing how easy it is to trick yourself.
7. Get on the soup and liquids. Soup holds liquid in your stomach better and makes you feel fuller for longer. If your stomach is full you are less likely to snack and less likely to eat between meals. Top up your soup with lots and lots of water. Water is a calorie free trick to fill your stomach and stop the urges to snack.
Losing weight can be hard work, the seven tips above can help but if you do a little hunting around you can find even more ways to lose weight.
Most people fail after a period of weight loss success. They diet and then have a little break and the weight piles back on.
And some people just seem to find it impossible to lose weight at all. Well there may be more reasons why you struggle so much. Reasons you don't know.
By far the best way to lose weight is to try something new. Its madness to keep trying the same thing over and over and not succeeding.
Or if you are more of a traditional dieter, you might try our 2000 calorie per day diet.
